As a therapist, I notice my clients being less inclined to take prescription medication due to side effects. So here are some natural remedies and medicines for anxiety and stress. 


1. Passion Flower 🌷 increases the GABA in the brain which also increases relaxation and sleep. 


2. Valerian 🌿 50mg, 3x a day for 4 weeks has been shown to reduce anxiety and stress. 


3. Chamomile 🌼 more well known than the others. It's associated with relaxation and also, decreased anxiety, depression, and insomnia. 


4. Lavender 🪻it has a calm compound that soothes anxiety by stimulating the nose to pass signals to the brain to calm.


5. Lemon balm 🍋 known to reduce nerves and excitability, Balancing the stress response and promoting a healthy fight, flight, freeze response. 


All of these can come in their natural form as a flower, but also in teas and essential oils too.
